Technical Description

The Horkos HFN-P40H is a compact three-axis horizontal machining center designed for versatile metal cutting applications. It features a 26" x 16" work table with optional support for index and rotary tables, enabling flexible workpiece positioning. The machine is equipped with an HSK-A63 horizontal spindle that reaches 15,000 RPM at peak performance, delivering 10 HP continuously with an optional upgrade to 25 HP for demanding operations. The integrated automatic tool changer accommodates 16 tools standard, expandable to 24, with rapid tool exchange times of 1.9 seconds and chip-to-chip cycles of 4.2 seconds, minimizing idle time during production. All three axes—X, Y, and Z—provide 19.7", 15.7", and 19.7" of travel respectively, each with a maximum feed rate of 197 IPM and rapid traverse speed of 1,968 IPM, ensuring both precision and productivity. The machine supports optional four-axis configuration for enhanced machining capabilities. This configuration makes the HFN-P40H suitable for aerospace, automotive, and general industrial applications requiring consistent accuracy and efficient tool management on mid-sized components.
