HORKOS PM70H HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER

The Horkos PM70H horizontal machining center features a 26" x 16" worktable, supporting efficient horizontal machining operations. It offers optional support for index and rotary tables to enhance workholding versatility. The machine is equipped with a horizontal spindle utilizing an HSK-A63 taper, delivering up to 12,000 RPM and a 20 HP rating (30-minute duty). Its 12-station automatic tool changer (ATC) facilitates quick tool changes in 1.5 seconds with a chip-to-chip time of 4 seconds, expandable optionally to 24 tools. Axis configuration includes 3 axes (X, Y, and Z) with travels of 19.7" in X and Z, and 15.7" in Y, all capable of rapid traverse rates up to 2,950 ipm, enabling fast positioning and efficient machining cycles. The design accommodates an optional 4th axis for applications requiring more complex motion. The spindle taper and tooling interface (HSK-A63) ensure precision, rigidity, and rapid tool changes, optimized for high-speed and high-torque machining.
