1994 HYUNDAI HIT15S CNC LATHES
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The Hyundai HiT-15S is a compact slant-bed CNC turning center built by Hyundai Precision (later Hyundai WIA) in South Korea. It swings 17.3 in. over the bed and turns parts up to 10 in. in diameter, with 7.1 in. of X-axis travel. The A2-6 spindle is driven by a 20 hp (15 hp continuous) AC motor to 4,500 rpm and passes bar stock up to 2 in. in diameter through the draw tube. An 8 in. three-jaw hydraulic chuck is the usual workholding. Rapid traverse on both axes is 1,181 ipm. A tailstock with a 3.15 in. quill, MT-4 taper and 5.12 in. of quill travel supports shaft work, and hydraulic tailstock body travel was common equipment. Machines of the mid-1990s were fitted with the Hyundai HiTROL control, a Siemens Sinumerik 840C-based CNC. The HiT-15S suits small and medium chucked and bar-fed parts in job shops and production cells, and was often paired with bar feeders and parts catchers.
