Technical Description

The Hyundai WIA HS6300 is a high-performance horizontal machining center featuring a 24.8" x 24.8" (630mm x 630mm) work table capable of supporting workpieces up to 2,646 lbs. It operates with a Big Plus #50 horizontal spindle capable of a standard 8,000 RPM and an optional 12,000 RPM, powered by a 30 HP motor (upgradable to 40 HP). The machine incorporates a twin arm automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard capacity of 40 tools, expandable to 120 tools, enabling a fast tool change time of 3.5 seconds (chip to chip 7 seconds). It supports three axes of motion (X: 41.3”, Y: 34.4”, Z: 34.4”) with a maximum feed and rapid traverse rate of 1,969 ipm across all axes. Built with high rigidity roller guideways and a symmetrical box-type bed design, it ensures precision, vibration absorption, and structural stability. The spindle uses a 2-step geared motor system for heavy-duty cutting, and the Big Plus spindle system enhances tool holding rigidity and accuracy. While no pallet changer is standard, the machine’s design optimizes chip disposal through direct chip conveyor integration. The HS6300 delivers a robust combination of speed, precision, and heavy-duty capability, making it suitable for demanding manufacturing applications requiring high productivity and accuracy in medium- to large-scale workpieces.
