The HYUNDAI WIA KIT 450 is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for precision turning applications. It features a single main spindle capable of handling up to 6.5 inches (165 mm) in turning diameter and up to 12.8 inches (325 mm) in turning length, with a maximum swing over the bed of 20.9 inches (530 mm). The spindle runs at speeds up to 6,000 RPM, powered by a 20 HP motor, supporting bar diameters up to 1.77 inches (45 mm). The 60° slant bed design enhances chip evacuation and accessibility to the chuck and tool holders, optimizing operator convenience and machining efficiency. This machine incorporates LM guideways on all axes, significantly reducing machining noise and enabling rapid traverse rates of 1,181 inches per minute (30 m/min) on both the X and Z axes, with travels of 17.7 inches (450 mm) on X and 11.8 inches (300 mm) on Z. The primary tool carrier utilizes a slide type tool holder optimized for gang tool simultaneous cutting, allowing one cutting tool at a time, suited for high-rigidity, economical, and precise gang-type turning.
