Technical Description
The JCB VM115D is a self-propelled single-drum vibratory roller designed for efficient soil and asphalt compaction. It features an 82.7 in (2,100 mm) wide smooth drum with a 59.1 in (1,500 mm) diameter and a nominal high amplitude of 0.1 in (2.5 mm), delivering a high centrifugal force of 36,644 lb (163 kN) at 36 Hz (2,160 vpm) for aggressive compaction performance. The machine has a static linear load of 160 lb/in (28.6 kg/cm) and operates at two vibration frequencies: 31 Hz (1,860 vpm) and 36 Hz (2,160 vpm). It is powered by a 4-cylinder, water-cooled, turbocharged JCB 444TA diesel engine with a displacement of 268 cu in (4,399 cc), producing 125 hp (93 kW) at 2,200 rpm. The VM115D has an operating weight of 24,912 lb (11,300 kg), a wheelbase of 9.4 ft (2,846 mm), and overall dimensions of 17.9 ft (5,444 mm) in length and 7.4 ft (2,250 mm) in width, with 17.6 in (447 mm) of ground clearance. It is equipped with a hydrostatic propulsion system, providing a maximum travel speed of 6.6 mph (10.5 km/h) and excellent gradeability. The electrical system is 12 V with a 95 A alternator, and service capacities include 79.3 gal (300 L) fuel, 3.7 gal (14 L) coolant, 2.9 gal (11 L) engine oil, and 21.2 gal (80 L) hydraulic oil.
