Technical Description

This vertical machining center features a 59" × 28" work table capable of supporting workpieces up to 7,100 lbs, making it suitable for heavy-duty production environments. The machine is equipped with a #40 spindle taper (optional #50) and offers dual spindle speed configurations: a standard 10,000 RPM at 20 HP or an optional 6,000 RPM at 35 HP, providing flexibility for both high-speed finishing and high-torque roughing operations. The automatic tool changer accommodates 48 tools standard, with an optional 240-tool capacity for extended production runs, enabling efficient multi-operation machining without manual tool changes. Six controlled axes (expandable to seven) deliver 51" X-axis, 33.5" Y-axis, and 28" Z-axis travels, all capable of 590 IPM rapid traverse rates with 315 IPM cutting feed rates, ensuring rapid positioning and productive material removal. The 360° B-axis rotation enables complex angular machining and simultaneous multi-axis operations. An optional dual-pallet changer system allows continuous production by enabling setup on one pallet while machining proceeds on another, maximizing uptime. This configuration combines substantial work envelope capacity with precision positioning, making it ideal for aerospace, automotive, and general industrial applications requiring both power and versatility in medium to large-scale production environments.
