Technical Description
The Kent USA KLR-200 is a 2-axis CNC horizontal turning center engineered for precision component manufacturing. This machine features a robust single-piece 45° slant bed Meehanite casting construction with induction-hardened and precision-ground box ways, providing superior rigidity and thermal stability. The main spindle delivers 20 horsepower at 4,000 RPM maximum, accommodating an 8-inch chuck with 2-inch maximum bar diameter capacity and achieving a maximum turning diameter of 11.41 inches and turning length of 38.58 inches. The machine is equipped with a 12-station servo turret for rapid tool indexing and high-speed, high-accuracy turning operations. Both X and Z axes offer rapid traverse rates of 788 IPM, with X-axis travel of 8.7 inches and Z-axis travel of 23.62 inches, enabling efficient cycle times. The positioning accuracy of ±0.0001 inches ensures consistent part quality. The machine is controlled by a Fanuc 0i-TD CNC system, providing advanced programming capabilities and user-friendly interface. Additional features include a symmetrically designed reinforced headstock for balanced cutting forces, MT-4 tailstock with 3.14-inch quill stroke, and optional accessories such as secondary spindle capability and 2-speed gearbox for enhanced versatility. The complete machine assembly weighs approximately 7,935 pounds with overall dimensions of 114" × 63" × 67".
