The KINEFAC TD-21 Horizontal Machining Center is a robust, high-precision CNC lathe designed for complex shaft turning and multi-task machining operations. It features a single main spindle capable of handling a maximum turning diameter of 1.380 inches and a turning length of up to 16 inches, rotating at speeds up to 6,500 RPM and powered by a 20 HP motor. The machine is equipped with a total of two tool carriers: a slide-type primary tool carrier supporting up to 5 turning and rotary tools, and a turret-type secondary carrier capable of holding 8 turning and rotary tools, allowing for up to 2 simultaneous cutting tools. It incorporates a 4-axis control system with 7-inch X-axis and 12.8-inch Y-axis travels, providing enhanced versatility and precision in multi-dimensional machining. Control is managed via a GE Fanuc 18T CNC system complemented by Alpha FSSB servos and a Rittal Vip 6000 operator pendant. The unit includes precision components such as the Hardinge 16C collet system and features glass scales on diameter for a positioning repeatability of 0.0004 inches. Additional capabilities include pneumatic axial part transfer, an automatic lubrication system, coolant system, and steady rest unit, ensuring stable and efficient operation.
