The Kira KDL 21A is a precision horizontal machining center designed for high-speed turning and milling operations. Featuring dual main spindles, each rated at 4,000 RPM and 19.50 HP, this machine accommodates workpieces up to 13.780" in turning diameter with a maximum turning length of 16.140". The main spindle accepts an 8.000" chuck and supports bar stock up to 2.000" diameter, with a maximum swing capacity of 21.650". The primary tool carrier utilizes a 12-station turret configuration for both turning and rotary tooling, complemented by a secondary 5.00 HP rotary tool spindle operating at 5,000 RPM. The machine provides up to three optional axes of motion, with X-axis travel of 8.270", Z-axis travel of 16.930", and rapid traverse rates of 1,414 ipm across all axes, enabling efficient material removal and precise positioning.
