Technical Description

The Kira VTC-40A/B is a compact horizontal machining center designed for high-efficiency production in a small footprint. Featuring a robust #40 taper spindle, it delivers reliable performance with a standard top speed of 4,000 RPM, upgradable to 8,000 RPM, and a 30-minute power rating of 10 HP, with an optional 15 HP configuration. The machine supports a maximum workpiece weight of 440 lbs on its 27.5" x 15.7" table, making it suitable for a wide range of medium-sized parts. It is equipped with an automatic tool changer (ATC) supporting up to 12 tools as standard, expandable to 20, and offers rapid tool change times of 1.2 seconds (tool-to-tool) and 2.8 seconds (chip-to-chip). The X, Y, and Z-axis travels are each 23.6", 15.7", and 15.7" respectively, with a maximum feed rate of 394 ipm and rapid traverse of 1,890 ipm on all axes, ensuring fast and precise machining. The VTC-40A/B can be optionally equipped with a 2-pallet changer for increased automation and unattended operation. Its horizontal spindle orientation and compact design make it ideal for applications such as bracket and manifold machining, offering high rigidity, productivity, and flexibility for modern manufacturing environments.
