Technical Description
The Kitamura HX500iG Horizontal Machining Center is engineered for high-precision, high-productivity CNC machining of large and complex workpieces. Featuring an expansive work envelope with X, Y, and Z-axis travels of 34.3”, 31.5”, and 36.6” respectively, the machine delivers exceptional flexibility for multi-face and heavy-duty machining operations. The robust solid boxway construction, combined with patented twin ballscrew and dual feedback technology on the X and Y axes, ensures outstanding rigidity, accuracy, and repeatability, with positioning accuracy of ±0.001mm and repeatability of ±0.0005mm over the full stroke. The machine is equipped with a powerful 4-step gear-driven dual contact spindle, capable of speeds up to 12,000 RPM, providing high torque and reliability for demanding materials and applications. The NST No. 50 spindle taper supports a wide range of tooling for versatile machining needs. The automatic tool changer offers a capacity of 62 tools, with ultra-fast tool change times and field-expandable options for increased productivity. The standard 500 x 500mm pallet size allows for efficient handling of large parts, while the advanced Arumatik-Mi CNC control system enables high-speed processing, smooth surface control, and user-friendly operation. Rapid feed rates reach up to 60m/min on all linear axes, maximizing throughput. Linear scale feedback on all axes, coupled with high-resolution encoders, ensures consistent accuracy and surface finish. Designed for heavy-duty, medium to large part machining, the HX500iG combines speed, power, and precision in a compact footprint, making it ideal for high-production environments.
