The SW BM 1250 is a reconfigurable multi-spindle horizontal machining center engineered for high-precision drilling and milling operations on complex components. The system is controlled by a SIEMENS SINUMERIK 840D CNC platform, delivering advanced programmability and real-time process optimization. Designed with modular architecture, the BM 1250 accommodates multiple synchronized spindles and reconfigurable milling units, enabling simultaneous multi-axis machining operations including 4 and 5-axis capabilities. The machine incorporates fluid-cooled motor spindles with hybrid bearing technology, ensuring thermal stability and extended tool life during demanding production cycles. Rapid traverse rates reach 60 m/min with axis acceleration capabilities up to 10 m/s², facilitating efficient cycle times and reduced non-cutting time. The workpiece carrier dimensions of 550 mm x 350 mm accommodate diverse component geometries, while hydraulic and pneumatic supply systems (NG 6, max. 250 bar) power auxiliary functions.
