The Kitamura MYCENTER-HX500iG/630 #40 is a high-precision horizontal machining center designed for heavy-duty, medium to large part production with a 19.7" x 19.7" (500 x 500 mm) table and travels of 34.3" (X), 31.5" (Y), and 36.6" (Z). It features a robust solid box way construction with linear scales on all axes and a patented twin ballscrew system in the X and Y axes, ensuring exceptional rigidity and positioning accuracy of ±0.001mm full stroke and ±0.0005mm repeatability. The gear-driven #40 NST spindle operates at speeds up to 20,000 RPM with 20 HP (30-minute rating), enabling rapid material removal with dual-contact bearing support for stability. The machine incorporates a 50-tool automatic tool changer (ATC) with rapid tool change cycles (1.3 seconds tool-to-tool, 3.8 seconds chip-to-chip), expandable to 200 tools, paired with a standard two-pallet automated pallet changer (APC) for efficient workpiece handling. Rapid traverse rates reach 2,362 inches per minute (60 m/min) across all three linear axes, delivering industry-leading high-speed machining performance on tough alloys and complex geometries.
