The KIWA KH-41 is a compact horizontal machining center designed for efficient production with a footprint of just 60.2 inches wide. This 4-axis machine features a CAT-40/BT-40 spindle taper with a maximum speed of 12,000 RPM and 15 HP (30-minute rating), delivering robust cutting performance. The work table measures 15.75" x 15.75" and accommodates workpieces up to 1,100 lbs, while the X, Y, and Z axes each provide 20.1 inches of travel at rapid traverse rates of 2,362 ipm. The machine includes a full 360-degree B-axis for multi-face machining capabilities. The automatic tool changer (ATC) magazine carries 40 tools standard (expandable to 60 as an option) with exceptionally fast tool change times of 0.9 seconds and chip-to-chip times of 2.8 seconds, minimizing non-cutting time and maximizing throughput. Standard configuration includes a 2-pallet changer system (expandable to 8 pallets), enabling unattended production runs and seamless part loading/unloading. Controlled by FANUC 21i-MB CNC, the machine weighs approximately 16,350 lbs and maintains rigidity despite its compact design.
