Technical Description

The KNUTH Roturn 400 GT is a high-performance CNC inclined bed lathe designed for precision and productivity in demanding machining environments. Featuring a robust horizontal spindle configuration, it delivers a maximum turning diameter of 16.000" (400 mm) and a maximum workpiece length of 15.000" (380 mm), making it suitable for a wide range of part sizes. The main spindle achieves speeds up to 5,000 RPM, powered by a 10 HP (7.5 kW) main drive motor, with an optional 7 HP (5.5 kW) setting for optimized performance under varying loads. The machine is equipped with a linear tool changer for rapid, reliable tool changes, supporting efficient series production of smaller workpieces. Driven tools operate at speeds up to 7,500 RPM, enhancing versatility for complex machining tasks.
