KSI SWISS TCM 20S HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER

The KSI Swiss TCM 20S is a seven-axis CNC Swiss-type automatic lathe featuring a horizontal spindle configuration controlled by Fanuc OiTF technology. The machine accommodates 0.790" bar stock with a maximum turning diameter and length of 0.790" and 12.000" respectively. It is equipped with a single main spindle capable of 10,000 RPM at 5 HP, complemented by a sub-spindle operating at 8,000 RPM with 3 HP output and a 0.500" maximum turning diameter. The primary tool carrier (Slide 1) supports up to five turning tools and four rotary tools, while the secondary carrier (Slide 2) accommodates four additional turning tools, enabling simultaneous dual-tool cutting operations. A 0.50 HP rotary tool at 5,000 RPM enables secondary milling and drilling functions both on-center and off-center with full C-axis and Y-axis capability for complex part geometries. The machine's robust casting weighs 3,500 kg and measures 2,700 mm in length with a 1,000 mm center height, providing rigid stability for precision operations. Optional eight-axis configurations are available for enhanced flexibility. The TCM 20S excels in high-speed precision machining of small to medium components, leveraging intelligent chucking for extended 300 mm material feeds and variable frequency turning for optimized chip control and superior surface finishes.
