KSI SWISS TCM 26S HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER

The KSI Swiss TCM 26S is a seven-axis CNC Swiss-type automatic lathe engineered for precision high-volume production of complex small parts. This horizontal machining center features a 26mm maximum bar capacity with a main spindle capable of 10,000 RPM and 5 horsepower, enabling turning diameters up to 1.020 inches and lengths to 12 inches. The machine incorporates dual independent spindle systems: a primary main spindle paired with an 8,000 RPM sub-spindle rated at 3 horsepower, facilitating simultaneous multi-side machining operations. The TCM 26S employs two independent tool systems with a combined capacity of 17 tools—six turning and four rotary tools on the main spindle block, plus five turning and two rotary tools on the Y-axis block—allowing up to three simultaneous cutting tools for optimized cycle times. Secondary milling and drilling functions operate on-center and off-center with full C-axis and Y-axis control as standard features, enhancing part complexity capabilities. The machine incorporates KSI's signature technologies including Intelligent Chucking, which utilizes a 300mm stroke to minimize bar re-chucking during extended production runs, High Precision Mode for vibration reduction and mirror-like finishes, and Variable Frequency Turning for improved chip control and heat dissipation.
