The KSI Swiss TCM 38S Horizontal Machining Center is a high-precision CNC Swiss lathe engineered for complex, high-volume production of small to medium-sized parts. It features a main spindle with a maximum turning diameter and bar capacity of 1.500" (38 mm), supporting a maximum turning length of 12.000" (304.8 mm) and a chuck diameter of 1.500". The main spindle operates at up to 8,000 RPM with 10 HP, while the sub-spindle also reaches 8,000 RPM but delivers 3 HP, enabling efficient secondary operations. The machine is equipped with two tool carriers: a main spindle block supporting up to 6 turning tools and 4 rotary tools (each with 1.5 HP and 5,000 RPM), and a Y-axis block allowing up to 5 additional turning tools. Up to 3 tools can cut simultaneously, enhancing productivity. The TCM 38S includes standard secondary milling and drilling functions both on- and off-center, with full integration of C and Y axes for advanced contouring and off-center machining. With a total of 7 axes, the machine delivers exceptional flexibility for complex multi-tasking operations.
