Technical Description

The Kuraki KBT-13DX/15DX Horizontal Machining Center is a robust, high-precision CNC table-type boring mill designed for heavy-duty machining applications. Featuring a large 62.99" (L) x 70.87" (W) table, it supports maximum workpiece weights up to 26,400 lbs, making it ideal for large and complex components. The horizontal spindle utilizes a #50 taper, delivers up to 2,000 RPM (with an optional 2,500 RPM), and is powered by a 30 HP (30-minute rating) AC motor, with an optional 35 HP configuration for enhanced performance. The machine is equipped with an automatic tool changer (ATC) supporting 40 standard tool positions and up to 240 with optional expansion, ensuring efficient tool management and reduced downtime. A dual-pallet changer is available, with the option to expand from 2 to 12 pallets for increased productivity. The machining center offers 5-axis control, including a 360° B-axis rotary table for versatile workpiece positioning and high-accuracy indexing. Axis travels are extensive: X-axis 118.11", Y-axis 80.71", and Z-axis 51.18", with rapid traverse rates up to 394 ipm and maximum feed rates of 141 ipm across all linear axes. The system integrates advanced CNC controls, high-resolution feedback, and precision oil cooling for stable, accurate operation. Designed for demanding industrial environments, the Kuraki KBT-13DX/15DX delivers exceptional rigidity, accuracy, and versatility for complex horizontal boring and milling tasks.
