The LK MACHINERY HT-400 is a horizontal machining center featuring a 16" x 16" table capable of supporting workpieces up to 882 lbs. It is equipped with a horizontal CAT 40 spindle offering a top speed of 10,000 RPM, with an optional upgrade to 12,000 RPM. The spindle delivers 20 HP (30-minute rating) with an optional 25 HP for enhanced performance, suitable for various milling and machining applications requiring stability and power. The ATC tool carrier supports 60 tools standard, expandable to 90, with swift tool change times of 4.8 seconds and chip-to-chip time of 7.0 seconds, maximizing productivity. The machine includes a standard pallet changer with two pallets for efficient workpiece handling and reduced downtime. Axis travels are 24" (X), 22" (Y), and 25" (Z), each with a maximum feed rate of 400 IPM and rapid traverse rates up to 1,890 IPM, enabling high-speed machining and precise positioning. The machine operates on a 3-axis configuration without a U-axis. The CAT 40 taper spindle system offers a conventional 7/24 taper angle, balancing rigidity and versatility for a wide range of machining tasks, including metals and plastics.
