The LK Machinery HT-800 Horizontal Machining Center features a robust CAT 50 horizontal spindle capable of up to 8,000 RPM, powered by a 35 HP motor rated for 30-minute operation. The machine includes a 31.5" x 31.5" table supporting workpieces up to 4,409 lbs, optimized for heavy-duty machining. The spindle taper conforms to the ASME B5.50 CAT50 standard, ensuring precise, rigid tool holding suitable for high cutting forces and large workpieces. It uses a 60-tool automatic tool changer (ATC), expandable to 90 tools, with a rapid tool change time of 6 seconds and chip-to-chip time of 12 seconds. The machine supports up to two pallets (optional pallet changer) and operates on three axes (X, Y, Z) with travels of 55.1" (X), 47.2" (Y), and 39.4" (Z). Maximum feed rate for each axis is 393 inches/min, with rapid traverse speeds of 1,890 inches per minute, enabling efficient material removal and reduced cycle times. The design emphasizes rigidity and precision in horizontal milling applications, suitable for complex and heavy machining tasks requiring stable spindle performance and extended tool capacity.
