MAIER ML36 HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER

The Maier ML36 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-precision CNC lathe featuring a main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 1.420" and a turning length capacity of 8.660". It supports bar stock up to 1.420" in diameter and operates at spindle speeds up to 8,000 RPM with 10 HP power on both main and sub spindles. The machine is equipped with a sub spindle that accommodates turning diameters up to 1.260" at the same speed and power parameters, enabling efficient dual-spindle machining. The primary tool carrier is a turret supporting up to 16 turning tools and 8 rotary tools rated at 2 HP, while a secondary slide tool carrier can hold 4 turning and 4 rotary tools, also rated at 2 HP. The machine allows simultaneous use of 2 cutting tools, enhancing productivity. It includes standard secondary mill/drill functions on- and off-center, with optional C-axis milling and standard Y-axis functionality for complex multi-axis machining. The ML36 operates on 6 axes with optional 7-axis configurations and offers travel ranges of 9.840" (X), 7.870" (Y), and 3.930" (Z), providing versatility for precision parts manufacturing.
