MAKINO G7 HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER

The Makino G7 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-performance 5-axis CNC machine designed for precision grinding, milling, drilling, and tapping, particularly suited for aerospace components and difficult-to-machine materials such as Inconel. It features a robust horizontal spindle with a #40 taper and an optional HSK-63A taper, capable of reaching speeds up to 12,000 RPM and delivering 33 HP (30-minute rating). The machine supports a table size of 9.84" x 9.84" and can handle workpieces up to 264 lbs, with axis travels of 27.1" (X), 25.59" (Y), and 28.74" (Z), all with rapid traverse rates of up to 1,690 ipm. The B-axis provides a 270° rotation, enabling full multi-axis access for complex part geometries with single setup machining. The G7 includes a 60-tool automatic tool changer (ATC) with an option to expand up to 180 tools and a tool change time of 0.9 seconds, enhancing productivity and flexibility. This horizontally configured center optimizes coolant delivery with programmable two-axis nozzles to maintain optimal cutting conditions.
