Technical Description

The Makino MCC2513 Horizontal Machining Center is engineered for high-efficiency, high-accuracy machining of large dies, molds, and complex workpieces. Featuring a robust 114.0" x 39.4" table with a maximum workpiece weight capacity of 26,400 lbs, the machine supports both index and rotary table options for versatile multi-face machining in a single setup. The horizontal spindle offers a #50 taper (HSK100A optional) and achieves speeds up to 15,000 RPM (18,000 RPM optional), powered by a 40 HP motor (67 HP optional) for demanding cutting tasks. Tooling is managed by an automatic tool changer (ATC) with standard capacity for 30 tools (expandable up to 280), ensuring rapid tool changes and uninterrupted operation. The machine is available in 3-axis or 4-axis configurations, with B-axis rotary capability for full 360° indexing and A-axis support for expanded angular positioning. Axis travels are X: 98.4", Y: 53.2", Z: 39.4", all with a maximum feed rate and rapid traverse of 630 ipm, enabling fast and precise movement. Advanced features include a high-speed, high-accuracy GI.3 control system, thermal stability technology, and a semi-floating slideway system for consistent performance even with heavy loads. The MCC2513 is ideal for industries requiring high rigidity, precision, and productivity in the machining of large, heavy, or high-value components.
