The Makino MCC2516-VG is a high-performance 4-axis horizontal machining center designed for large-scale and heavy-duty machining applications. It features substantial travel capacities with 98.4 inches on the X-axis, 63 inches on the Y-axis, and 51 inches on the Z-axis, supporting workpieces of up to 118 inches by 63 inches on pallets measuring 118 by 63 inches. The machine’s spindle operates at a maximum speed of 12,000 RPM, powered by an 18.5/11 kW drive motor and supported by cylindrical roller bearings with a 100 mm inner diameter, providing high rigidity and precision suitable for both roughing and finishing operations. The tool changer accommodates up to 30 tools, enabling versatile, automated machining cycles. Its CNC control system utilizes the Professional 5 SuperGi4, ensuring advanced motion control and programming flexibility.
