The Makino SLIM3N Vertical Machining Center is a high-performance, compact 3-axis CNC machine designed for high-volume production environments. It features a robust vertical spindle with an HSK-A50 taper, available in two configurations: 16,000 rpm for high-speed applications and 8,000 rpm for higher torque requirements. The machine is equipped with a 26-tool automatic tool changer (ATC) magazine, utilizing an armless, direct tool pick system for fast, reliable indexing and enhanced performance. The fixed table design supports a maximum workpiece size of 38.4" x 19.7" x 22.8" and a payload capacity of 881 lb (400 kg), providing flexibility for fixture design and accommodating larger envelopes and heavier fixtures. Axis travels are 19.7" (X), 15.7" (Y), and 15.7" (Z), with rapid traverse rates of 1,969 ipm (50 m/min) on all axes and cutting feed rates up to 20,000 mm/min.
