The Manford VL-1000 Vertical Machining Center is a high-precision CNC machine designed for demanding milling, drilling, and tapping applications. It features a robust 3-axis configuration with X, Y, and Z travels of 40", 20", and 22" respectively, enabling versatile workpiece handling. The table measures 47.2" x 19.2" and supports a maximum workpiece weight of 1,100 lbs, with options for index and rotary tables to expand machining capabilities. The vertical spindle utilizes a BT 40 taper (with CAT 40 as an option), operates at up to 8,000 RPM (10,000 RPM optional), and delivers a 30-minute rated power of 15 HP for efficient material removal. Tooling is managed by an automatic tool changer (ATC), available in Genoa or Arm configurations, supporting 16 tools standard and up to 24 tools optionally. The machine offers rapid traverse rates of 1,416 ipm on all axes, ensuring fast cycle times and high productivity. Linear guide ways provide smooth, accurate movement, while the option for a pallet changer further enhances automation potential.
