The MAZAK QTU-200MY Horizontal Machining Center is a high-precision, multi-tasking CNC turning center designed for efficient small to medium-sized part production with advanced capability. It features a 20 hp main spindle with speeds up to 6,000 rpm and a maximum turning diameter of 13.39" and length of 14.5", supported by a 6" spindle chuck and a maximum swing of 27.4". The spindle uses an integral direct-drive motor design, eliminating belts and pulleys for zero backlash and increased reliability. The machine includes a 12-position turret tool carrier capable of holding up to 12 turning and 12 rotary tools, allowing one tool to cut simultaneously, enabling complex "done-in-one" parts through integrated milling, drilling, and tapping operations. The axis travel comprises 8.5" in X, 3.94" in Y, and 14.96" in Z, with rapid traverse rates of 1,181 inches per minute on all axes, offering high-speed, precise machining enhanced by Mazak’s high-gain servo-control turret and double-slide structure. The Y-axis off-centerline capability provides enhanced machining flexibility for complex part geometries. The CNC-controlled tailstock adds automated support for longer workpieces, improving accuracy.
