The Mazak UN-600H Horizontal Machining Center features a 15.74" x 15.74" work table capable of supporting workpieces up to 550 lbs. It is equipped with a powerful 10 hp spindle, rated for 30-minute operation, utilizing a #30 taper and delivering speeds up to 20,000 rpm for high-speed machining. The machine includes a 20-tool automatic tool changer (ATC) with a rapid tool change time of 2.3 seconds, optimizing production efficiency. Optional support index or rotary tables and a pallet changer can be integrated for enhanced versatility. The UN-600H operates on a 3-axis system with travels of 20.07" (X), 15.74" (Y), and 14.96" (Z), all capable of rapid traverse rates of 4,720 ipm and max feed rates of 1,574 ipm. The horizontal spindle orientation benefits from Mazak's design where the column (U-axis) travels half the X-axis distance while the table moves the other half, reducing machine width without sacrificing capacity. This compact layout aids productivity in space-constrained environments. The machine supports precise machining of medium-sized components, especially suited for automotive and industrial applications requiring high-speed, accurate horizontal milling operations.
