Technical Description

The Mikron Multistep XT-200 is a fully modular, high-precision horizontal machining center designed for maximum productivity and flexibility in demanding production environments. It features a single horizontal main spindle with an HSK A-40 taper, capable of speeds up to 15,000 rpm (optionally 40,000 rpm), ensuring high-speed machining and excellent surface finishes. The machine is equipped with a twin carousel tool magazine, standard capacity of 36 tools, and can be expanded to accommodate up to 144 tools when configured with up to four machining modules. A standard pallet changer with two pallets enables rapid workpiece exchange, minimizing downtime. The Multistep XT-200 offers full 5-axis CNC capability, with a B-axis rotation of up to 260°, allowing for complex, multi-sided machining in a single setup. Axis travels are 23.62" (X), 19.69" (Y), and 11.81" (Z), with rapid traverse rates of 2,045 ipm on all linear axes, ensuring fast and efficient operation. The machine’s compact and rigid design, combined with an extremely stable B/C-axis and direct distance measurement system, delivers high positioning and repeatability accuracy. Its modular architecture supports step-by-step investment and seamless integration of additional machining modules, making it suitable for both prototyping and mass production. The Multistep XT-200 is ideal for industries requiring high precision and efficiency, such as automotive, medical, watchmaking, and electrical manufacturing.
