Technical Description
This vertical machining center features a robust worktable measuring 150 x 80 inches capable of supporting workpieces up to 5,000 lbs, ideal for heavy-duty machining tasks. The spindle is vertically oriented with a BIG-PLUS® ISO No. 40 taper, delivering enhanced rigidity and precision through simultaneous contact between the spindle taper and flange face, minimizing deflection and improving tool life. The standard spindle speed reaches up to 10,000 RPM, with an optional upgrade to 15,000 RPM, powered by a 15 HP motor (upgradeable to 24 HP) to support a wide range of machining operations requiring high power and speed. It includes a 24-station carousel tool changer for efficient tool management, optimizing cycle times without the need for pallet changers or rotary tables. The machine operates along three axes (X, Y, Z) with travels of 150", 80", and 28" respectively, each capable of feed rates up to 500 IPM and rapid traverses reaching 1,000 IPM, ensuring high throughput and precision. Optional support tables and rotary axes can be integrated for enhanced workpiece handling flexibility.
