Technical Description
The Mitsubishi MG460 VHP Motor Grader is a robust, articulated machine designed for demanding grading applications. Powered by a Mitsubishi 6D24-TUN diesel engine with a displacement of 732.3 cu in (12 liters), it delivers a maximum power output of 185.1 hp (138 kW) at 2000 rpm, ensuring strong performance and reliability. The grader features an 8-speed powershift transmission, providing smooth gear changes and efficient operation both forward (up to 24.9 mph) and reverse (up to 23 mph). Its articulated steering system offers a 29° articulation angle and a tight turning radius of 22.7 ft, enhancing maneuverability on confined job sites. The circle system allows a front blade tip angle of 36° and a rear angle of 81°, with a maximum lift above ground of 18.6 in and maximum reach outside the tires of 77.6 in (left) and 78.8 in (right). The moldboard measures 12.2 ft in width, 24.1 in in height, and 0.8 in in thickness, supporting precise grading. The front axle provides 30° total oscillation and 20° wheel lean for improved stability and traction. With an overall length of 28.2 ft, a width over tires of 8 ft, and a height to the top of the Isomount cab of 11.3 ft, the MG460 VHP is well-suited for a variety of grading tasks. Standard operating weight is 39,021.9 lbs, ensuring solid performance and control in diverse conditions.
