Technical Description
The Mitsui Seiki HPX63 is a high-precision, high-speed 4-axis horizontal machining center engineered for demanding applications in aerospace, automotive, mold & die, and general ultra-precision machining. It features an X-axis travel of 39.37 inches (1,000 mm), Y-axis travel of 31.496 inches (800 mm), and Z-axis travel of 35.433 inches (900 mm), providing robust work envelope capabilities. The machine is powered by a 24.8 horsepower (18.5 kW) spindle, capable of reaching up to 6,000 RPM, ensuring efficient material removal and fine surface finishes across a wide range of materials, including titanium, Inconel, tool steels, stainless steels, and aluminum. Equipped with a 60-pocket automatic tool changer and an ISO 7/24 Taper No. 50 tool interface, the HPX63 supports rapid tool changes and accommodates a diverse set of cutting tools. The pallet size is 24.803 inches (630 mm) square, with a maximum loading weight of 1,200 kg, enabling the machining of large, heavy components. The machine utilizes hardened and ground steel box ways, hybrid slideways for enhanced acceleration and deceleration, and ultra-precision ball screw linear axis drives, ensuring superior rigidity, geometric accuracy, and long-term reliability. Hand-scraped components further guarantee exceptional accuracy for fine boring and turn-boring operations. The HPX63 is CNC-controlled, facilitating seamless integration with factory automation and advanced manufacturing systems. Weighing 39,683 pounds (18,000 kg), this machining center delivers ruggedness, precision, and productivity for the most challenging production environments.
