Technical Description

The Monarch EBM-2150 Horizontal Machining Center features a large work table measuring 86.6" by 35.4" (optional width 48"), supporting workpieces up to 8,818 lbs. It operates with a #50 horizontal spindle capable of speeds up to 6,000 RPM standard, with an optional upgrade to 10,000 RPM. The spindle delivers 20 HP (30-minute rating), with a 35 HP option available for more demanding applications. Equipped with a 32-tool double-arm automatic tool changer, expandable to 60 tools, it offers a rapid tool change time of 3.5 seconds. The machine provides three linear axes (X, Y, and Z) with travels of 84.6", 55", and 43.3", respectively, each capable of a maximum feed rate of 394 inches per minute and rapid traverse of 600 inches per minute. Optional support for indexing and rotary tables enhances versatility for complex part machining. The machine’s robust construction and large travel capacities make it suitable for heavy-duty machining of large and heavy components, combining high power with substantial work envelope and efficient tool handling for production environments requiring precision and flexibility.
