MONARCH MB-2500 HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER

The Monarch MB-2500 is a high-capacity horizontal machining center designed for precision CNC machining of large workpieces. It features a fixed table measuring 113.0 inches in length and 36.6 inches in width, supporting maximum workpiece weights up to 39,700 lbs, making it suitable for heavy-duty industrial applications. The machine employs a horizontal spindle with a #50 taper, offering a standard top spindle speed of 6,000 RPM with an optional upgrade to 10,000 RPM. Its spindle power is rated at 20 horsepower (30-minute rating), with a 35 HP option available for more demanding cutting operations. The MB-2500 uses a 3-axis configuration with travels of 59.0 inches in X, 35.4 inches (optional 47.2 inches) in Y, and 31.5 inches (optional 39.3 inches) in Z, all capable of rapid traverse speeds up to 600 inches per minute and controlled feed rates up to 200 inches per minute. Equipped with a double-arm automatic tool changer (ATC), it holds 32 standard tools, expandable to 60 tools, with a rapid tool change time of 3.5 seconds, enhancing productivity by minimizing downtime. The machine’s traveling column and box-way construction provide rigidity and accuracy while saving floor space. Optional support includes index and rotary tables to enable multi-sided machining capabilities.
