The Monforts DuoTurn Horizontal Machining Center is a precision turning center engineered for heavy-duty production applications. This machine features a robust single main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 32.000 inches and an extended turning length of 118.000 inches, accommodating large workpieces. The 12.000-inch chuck diameter provides secure workpiece holding with a maximum swing of 43.300 inches over the bed. The main spindle operates at 1,600 RPM with 75 HP, delivering consistent cutting power for demanding machining operations. The machine is equipped with dual tool carriers: a Mutifix size D primary carrier supporting 4 turning and 4 rotary tools, and a DIN secondary carrier with capacity for 8 turning and 8 rotary tools, enabling versatile machining capabilities with one simultaneous cutting tool. The two-axis configuration provides X-axis travel of 24.400 inches and Z-axis travel of 72.800 inches, both with rapid traverse rates of 157 ipm and maximum feed rates of 157 ipm respectively.
