Technical Description

The MS Machining HMC-60 is a high-performance 4-axis horizontal machining center designed for precision and heavy-duty machining. It features a robust 28" x 28" work table with a maximum workpiece load capacity of 4,000 lbs, supporting large and heavy components. The machine offers substantial travel distances of 60" on the X-axis, 40" on the Y-axis, and 28" on the Z-axis, with rapid traverse rates of up to 480 inches per minute, enabling efficient material removal and reduced cycle times. The spindle is a CAT 50 taper design, running horizontally with a maximum speed of 3,000 RPM and rated at 30 horsepower for 30 minutes, providing sufficient power for heavy milling operations. The machine is equipped with a 48-position automatic tool changer (ATC), with an optional expansion to 76 tools, enhancing productivity and versatility for complex parts. A standard pallet changer with two pallets is included, with options for up to six pallets to increase automation and throughput. Optional support for indexing or rotary tables is available, expanding the machine's capability for multi-face machining.
