The MS Machining HMC-600 is a robust horizontal machining center designed for high-capacity, precision machining of large workpieces, supporting up to 10,000 lbs. Its table measures 39" by 39" and comes standard with an indexing table, while an optional rotary table is available to enhance machining capability. The machine features a CAT 50 spindle taper with a maximum speed of 3,000 RPM powered by a 30 HP spindle motor rated for 30 minutes, emphasizing consistent performance for heavy-duty operations. The HMC-600 supports a 3-axis configuration as standard with optional expansion to 6 axes, delivering travels of 78" along X, and 58" along Y and Z, all capable of rapid traverse at 100 IPM for efficient material handling. Tooling is managed by an automatic tool changer (ATC) with 48 standard tool stations, expandable to 76, facilitating extended unattended machining. Pallet handling is optional, offering 2 pallets standard or up to 4 to improve workflow and reduce downtime. Equipped with a Fanuc i series CNC control, the machine offers advanced programmability, including coordinate and tool offsets, rigid tapping, and spindle orientation control. Its rigid design includes a massive support column and traveling column construction, ensuring high stability and accuracy during machining processes.
