The Niigata Machine Techno USA SPN701 is a heavy-duty horizontal machining center designed for high precision and productivity in industrial manufacturing. It features a rigid "one-piece" column mounted on a T-shaped mono-cast base for superior machine squareness and stability. The table measures 24.8 x 24.8 inches, supporting workpieces up to 2,640 lbs. The standard table includes a support index system with an optional rotary table for enhanced versatility. This model utilizes a #50 taper horizontal spindle with a top speed of 12,000 RPM, optionally upgradeable to 15,000 RPM, powered by a 40 HP motor rated for 30-minute intervals. Tool handling is managed through an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard capacity of 60 tools, expandable up to 230 tools for extended operations. Tool change times are rapid, at 1.4 seconds for tool pick and 3.0 seconds including chip removal. A standard two-pallet changer system facilitates efficient part loading and unloading cycles. The machine operates on three axes with travels of 39.4" in X, 37.4" in Y, and 33.5" in Z, all capable of rapid traverse rates up to 2,362 inches per minute. A 360° B-axis rotation is included, allowing for complex machining angles and 4-axis simultaneous control when configured.
