The Nomura BN-135QF/R4 Horizontal Machining Center is a heavy-duty CNC floor-type boring mill designed for precision horizontal machining. It features a large table measuring 70" x 78" capable of supporting workpieces up to 26,400 lbs. The machine operates with a powerful 40 HP spindle motor rated for 30 minutes, utilizing a #50 taper spindle rotating up to 1,000 RPM. The spindle supports coolant-through and chilling options to enhance machining stability. Tool handling is managed by an Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) accommodating up to 60 tools, with zero-second chip-to-chip tool change time, and optional pallet changer with two pallets to optimize workflow. The machining center employs 4 axes (X, Y, Z, and B rotary axis) with travel capacities of 157" (X-axis), 137" (Y-axis), 27.6" (Z-axis), and 360° rotary motion on B-axis, achieving rapid traverse rates of 236 inches per minute. Optional support rotary and indexing tables enhance workpiece positioning and flexibility. Its robust construction ensures accommodation of large, heavy workpieces and complex machining operations, supported by CNC control (commonly Fanuc 31i-MB or equivalent).
