Technical Description
The 2010 OKK HMC 1250S is a high-performance 4-axis horizontal machining center equipped with a Fanuc 310iS-A CNC control system that features a 10.4" color TFT display, 512 KB program memory, and supports 200 sets of tool offsets along with 128 pairs of tool life management. The machine offers a generous work envelope with pallet dimensions of 49.21" x 49.21" (1250 mm x 1250 mm) and a maximum workpiece capacity of 6600 lbs. It features dual pallets with full B-axis contouring and pallet indexing precision of 0.001 degrees, facilitating complex multi-axis contour machining. Axis travels are approximately 66.9" (X), 55.1" (Y), and 48.8" (Z), enabling machining of large parts.
The HMC 1250S incorporates a 60-position automatic tool changer capable of handling tools up to 55 lbs and 23.6" in length, with rapid tool change times and adaptive speed for heavy tools. The spindle has a CAT 50 taper, delivers 35 to 50 HP, and runs up to 8000 rpm (optionally 12,000 rpm), suitable for heavy-duty cutting operations. Through-spindle coolant is rated at 1000 psi, providing efficient cooling and chip evacuation for extended tool life and machining efficiency.
Additional features include Blum laser tool length measurement and breakage detection, Renishaw touch probe for precise part setup and inspection, rigid tapping capability, chip conveyors, spindle chiller, and advanced servo controls, supporting rigid and precise machining in a robust frame weighing about 72,000 lbs. The machine combines high rigidity, heavy load capability, and advanced CNC functions to support precise, high-volume production applications in aerospace, automotive, and heavy machinery industries.
