Technical Description

The OKK MCH8000 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-performance, super heavy-duty machine engineered for demanding industrial applications. Featuring a robust box way construction, it delivers exceptional rigidity and stability for cutting hard-to-machine materials such as Inconel, titanium, and Hastelloy. The machine is equipped with a horizontal spindle featuring a #50 taper, capable of reaching up to 6,000 RPM, with a 35 HP (30-minute rating) spindle motor providing ample power for aggressive machining operations. The table size is 31.5" x 31.5", and it comes standard with an index table for enhanced workpiece positioning flexibility. Tooling is managed by a 60-station automatic tool changer (ATC), with an optional expansion to 176 tools, and a standard 2-pallet changer for improved productivity. The machine offers three linear axes (X, Y, Z) with travels of 51.18", 47.24", and 47.24" respectively, and an optional fourth axis for expanded machining capabilities. Maximum feed rates reach 708 IPM, while rapid traverse rates are 944 IPM on all axes, ensuring fast cycle times. The MCH8000 is designed for high-efficiency, high-accuracy machining in environments requiring heavy cutting loads and long-term reliability.
