Technical Description
The PMCO PM412 Motor Grader is powered by a Cat C7 ACERT diesel engine, delivering a net power of 183 hp in 1st gear and a VHP Plus power range of 183–233 hp. The engine features a 7.2-liter (439 cubic inch) displacement, 6 inline cylinders, a 4.3-inch bore, and a 5-inch stroke, with maximum torque of 855 lb-ft at 1,000 rpm and a 39% torque rise. Rated power is achieved at 2,000 rpm, and the engine requires no derating up to 10,000 ft altitude. The cooling system operates at standard fan speeds of 600–1,450 rpm and high ambient speeds of 600–1,650 rpm, supporting ambient temperatures up to 122°F. The grader’s frame offers a 32-degree circle diameter, with a base gross vehicle weight of 36,554 lb, maximum of 51,892 lb, and typically equipped at 41,868 lb. Axle weights range from 9,561 lb (front base) to 35,287 lb (rear max). The 12-foot moldboard is 26 inches high, with a left blade tip of 20.1 inches, forward tip range of 40 degrees, and backward range of 5 degrees. Maximum shoulder reach is 77.9 inches right and 70.5 inches left, with a maximum lift of 18.9 inches above ground. The machine measures approximately 29 ft 2 in long, 8 ft 2 in wide, and 10 ft 9 in high, with a wheelbase of 20.08 ft. Top speeds are 29 mph forward and 22.9 mph reverse. Standard tires are 14.00R24 with multi-piece rims. The electro-hydraulic load sensing, closed center system provides blade pull of 23,832 lb and down pressure of 15,969 lb at base GVW.
