Technical Description
The Roeders RXU1001DSHZ2 is a high-precision 5-axis vertical machining center designed for complex, high-speed machining tasks. It features substantial axial travels with an X-axis of 33.66 inches, Y-axis of 27.55 inches, Z-axis of 19.68 inches, and an additional W-axis travel of 10 inches, allowing versatile workpiece positioning and multi-axis machining. The machine is equipped with dual spindles: Spindle #1 is a Fischer HSK50 interface spindle delivering 14.9 kW motor power at up to 36,000 RPM, ideal for high-speed milling; Spindle #2 is a Levicron RSA60 HSK25 spindle optimized for ultra-precise machining with a maximum speed of 60,000 RPM and runout under 0.1 µm, ensuring exceptional surface finishes and accuracy.
The 15.75" x 15.75" C-axis table includes a grid hole pattern with M16 T-slots for secure workholding, enabling the machine’s continuous 5th axis capability with a 27.55-inch travel for complex contour work. It integrates Roeders’ proprietary RMS6 PC-based control system, supporting ISO and Heidenhain® NC programming, enhanced with vibration monitoring, spindle elongation compensation, and automatic spindle speed optimization to minimize vibrations and maintain precision surface quality. The control features rapid block processing (<0.1 ms), look-ahead for over 10,000 blocks, and patented functions for tangential transitions and dynamic spindle compensation.
Additional features include tool laser measuring, live spindle growth monitoring, chip removal bin, remote control functionality, and compatibility with HSK E50 and E25 tooling. This machine is tailored for industries requiring exceptional machining precision, speed, and surface quality, supporting complex geometries with high reliability and repeatability.
