The GSK980TD is a professional-grade CNC turning system designed for precision lathe operations with advanced motion and logic control capabilities. This controller features a 32-bit high-performance CPU and large-scale programmable FPGA, enabling μm-level interpolation precision and sophisticated machining capabilities. The system supports linked axes (X, Z) with maximum rapid traverse speeds up to 30 m/min and delivers precision down to 0.001mm command units. The GSK980TD incorporates an embedded PLC for controlling automatic toolposts, spindle gear shifting, and various I/O operations. It offers comprehensive threading functionality including metric/inch single and multiple straight taper threads, end face threading, variable pitch threading, and high-speed thread run-out with customizable parameters. Advanced compensation features include pitch error, backlash, tool length, and tool nose radius compensation. The system includes a 7-inch color LCD display supporting Chinese and English interfaces, with 6144KB memory capacity accommodating up to 384 part programs. Editing capabilities feature full-screen program composition with macro program support and embedded subprograms. The GSK980TD employs S-curve and exponential acceleration/deceleration control to optimize high-speed and high-precision machining operations. Additional features include spindle analog voltage control supporting rigid tapping, tool life management, automatic chamfering, and DNC communication protocols. With bidirectional PC and CNC-to-CNC communication capabilities, the system supports convenient software and PLC program upgrades.
