Technical Description
The 2020 SANY SMG200 Motor Grader is a robust, high-performance machine engineered for precision grading and heavy-duty construction tasks. Powered by a Cummins engine delivering 176–196 hp (net) with a displacement of 7.01 L (427.8 in³), it features a closed-center, parallel hydraulic circuit with a variable piston pump, providing up to 40.9 gal/min (155 L/min) flow and 3,503 psi output pressure at 2,200 rpm. The transmission hydraulic system uses a gear pump with clutch supply flow of 20.6 gal/min at 232–261 psi. Steering is precise, with a front steering max angle of 47.5°, frame steering angle of 20° left/right, and front axle lean and oscillation angles of 18° and 32° respectively. Ground clearance at the center is 10 in (255 mm). The hydraulic actuated drum parking brake ensures secure slope holding up to 30%, meeting ISO 3450:2011 standards. The moldboard offers a maximum lift of 18.9 in (480 mm) and a cutting depth of 28.9 in (735 mm), with 360° blade rotation and side shift capability. The rear scarifier has a working width of 84.1 in (2137 mm), nine shanks spaced at 9.8 in (250 mm), and a maximum depth of 11.1 in (281 mm). The electrical system includes a direct electric starting system, 12V battery, and a heavy-duty 150-amp, 24V alternator. Engine RPM ranges from 2,000 to 2,200, with operation possible up to 122°F (50°C). The moldboard blade length is up to 14 ft, and the operating weight exceeds 30,000 lb. Control options include hydraulic pilot valves and integrated 3D systems for automated blade positioning. Forward and reverse speeds reach approximately 17.8 mph and 11.4 mph, respectively.
