The Scharmann ALPHA 1250 BM is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for demanding production environments. It features a robust table size of 49.21" x 49.21", with an optional extended table of 62.99" x 62.99", supporting workpieces up to 16,500 lbs. The machine offers optional index and rotary tables for enhanced flexibility in complex machining operations. The horizontal spindle utilizes an SK 50 taper, with an HSK 100A option, and delivers up to 6,000 RPM and 48 HP (30-minute rating), with an optional 60 HP configuration for heavy-duty cutting. Tooling is managed by an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard capacity of 40 tools, expandable to 400, and rapid tool change times. A standard pallet changer with two pallets (expandable to four) ensures high throughput and minimal downtime. The machine provides four standard axes (X, Y, Z, B), with an optional fifth axis (A), enabling advanced multi-sided and complex part machining. Axis travels are X: 79" (opt. 98"), Y: 63" (opt. 79"), Z: 51" (opt. 79"), with all axes offering a maximum feed rate and rapid traverse of 1,181 ipm for fast, efficient operation. The B-axis provides full 360° rotation, and the A-axis (optional) also offers 360° indexing.
