The SCHIESS HORIMASTER 1-F is a horizontal machining center designed for high-precision and heavy-duty machining tasks. The machine’s horizontal spindle uses a CAT 50 taper and operates at speeds up to 3,000 rpm, with an optional upgrade to 6,000 rpm, powered by a 70 HP motor rated for 30 minutes. The machine has an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a single tool standard, expandable to 160 tools, supporting tool changes in 30 seconds and chip-to-chip tool changes in 45 seconds. Pallet changing capabilities are optional, accommodating two pallets for enhanced productivity. The HORIMASTER 1-F operates with three axes standard (X, Y, Z), with an optional fourth axis (U), providing travel ranges of 39.37" each, with options for extensions up to 118.11" in X and 78.74" in Y. The rapid traverse rates for the X, Y, and Z axes reach up to 630 inches per minute. The machine also offers an optional rotary axis (A-axis) capable of 180° rotation. Its modular design allows integration of support index and rotary tables as needed for complex machining tasks.
