Technical Description

The SCOTCHMAN S4-280G Horizontal Band Saw is engineered for precision cutting with a robust 1.5 HP motor, offering two cutting speeds of 131 and 262 FPM for the 3-phase model, and a single speed of 196 FPM for the 1-phase model. This saw features a quick action locking vise and a miter capability of up to 30 degrees to the right, enhancing versatility for various cutting applications. The blade trigger switch and blade tension gauge ensure optimal performance and safety during operation. Designed for efficiency, the re-circulating coolant system maintains blade temperature and prolongs blade life. The band door interlocks provide an additional safety measure, preventing access during operation. The saw accommodates a maximum capacity of 8" for round tubing at 90 degrees, 7" at 45 degrees, and 4-1/4" at 30 degrees. For square tubing, it supports 8" at 90 degrees, 6-1/4" at 45 degrees, and 4" at 30 degrees.
